Canyon Pathways

We pitched, built, and launched a full podcast product for Canyon Pathways—a global men's movement focused on sonship and spiritual leadership. From branding and pre-production to editing, post, and social content, we translated years of retreat wisdom into a weekly, beautifully crafted digital experience.

Process

Overview

Canyon Pathways is a global community of men exploring sonship, leadership, and spiritual rest. After years of hosting powerful in-person retreats, they had no content engine to extend the message beyond the room. That’s when we pitched the idea: launch a podcast—not just as a broadcast, but as a product. Over the next few months, we led the strategy, branding, production, and rollout of a new media platform that now anchors the organization’s digital presence.

The Challenge

Canyon had a clear voice and strong community—but no scalable way to share its message. There was no podcast, no media infrastructure, and no system for ongoing content. The challenge wasn’t just producing episodes—it was designing a repeatable product that matched the relational tone of the retreats while serving a growing global audience.

Our Approach

We pitched and launched a podcast that would become the heart of their content ecosystem, then served as their full creative and production partner:

  • Product Pitch & Strategy: Proposed the podcast as a core tool to carry the Canyon message beyond retreats. Outlined structure, value, and audience fit for internal buy-in.
  • Design & Branding: Created the full visual identity—cover art, logo, typography, and templates—capturing the grounded, masculine, and sacred tone of the movement.
  • Pre-Production: Defined the episode structure, segment flow (Field Notes, guest intros, guiding questions), and production calendar.
  • Production & Post: Managed recordings via Riverside, handled editing, mastering, sound design, and quality control for every episode.
  • Social Content Creation: Produced reels, audiograms, carousels, and quote graphics—aligned with each week’s episode for engagement and shareability.
  • Narrative & Content Development: Worked closely with Noel to translate core retreat themes into episodic arcs and supporting content pillars.

Results

This wasn’t just a podcast launch—it was the creation of a brand new product offering that now fuels Canyon’s digital and relational growth:

  • Concept-to-launch delivery, including all strategic, creative, and production components.
  • Weekly podcast episodes began as 20–25 min reflections featuring international guest voices and evolved into hour-long, conversational interviews.
  • Branded "Field Note" episodes now serve as a distinct podcast format where Noel breaks down the Field Notes he has written—offering deeper commentary and theological reflection.
  • Strategic recommendation for integration: We proposed using the Field Note episodes as companion content alongside published articles to help men engage more deeply—offering both listening and reading options. While not yet fully implemented, this approach is now available for future use.
  • Social engagement tools developed in sync with each episode, helping deepen connection and grow audience organically.
  • In-house creative ownership: We handled all branding, design, copywriting, production, post-production, and content scheduling.
  • Ongoing partnership continues monthly, as we evolve the podcast into a long-term engagement product that strengthens the global Canyon community.
